While writing involves being able to be creative, it is important to have a look at the need for effective research and finding a balance between research and creativity. What are some of the tips for doing so?

I can list the ones I know because that's what helped me whenever I'm writing:
Define your topic
Use reliable sources
Use multiple sources
Take key points
And stay organized

I find that research is one of the crucial things for writing. I do research to balance my research and creativity work. I start by making sure to define my research question properly to enhance easy writing.

Research is very essential for sparking inspiration and it also helps in adding depth to my writing. What I do is verify sources to ensure credibility and for effective research work. ,

To get informed and enhance my writing, I take research very seriously. I also try to immerse myself in the topic through reading, watching, and exploring.

Even though throughout high school and college, including graduate school, I've been told, "Never use Wikipedia!"

But, the #1 source I use is Wikipedia.

However, I read the entry, check the footnote of that, then determine if that source is reliable, and go from there. It's the quickest route to finding reliable sources.

You can find information that isn't reliable or credible on Wikipedia though, so it's important to fact-check it and not go based on the Wikipedia entry alone.

If you don't research or read about things, there's no way you can write about them.
Find good reliable sources, pick the key notes there and then write yours in a creative way.

I use reliable sources, cross-check facts, and take organized notes.
In my experience, breaking topics into smaller parts, using summaries or outlines, and staying critical of biases helps me gather accurate, relevant, and actionable information efficiently.

I do online and offline research (reading books and journals). I rely on information that is either published by trusted authors or trusted websites. I always cross check facts.

When I do research, I start by clearly defining my question. I look for reliable sources, compare different viewpoints, and take organized notes. I also try to verify information from multiple references and revisit my sources later to refine my understanding.
