Tornado weather event now live on Marapets

Marapets is no longer experiencing a rain event and has recently been hit by a tornado, bringing various changes to the game.

BREAKING NEWS
The recent Storm has developed into a Tornado and has brought with it very high winds and widespread destruction around Marada. Sadly, the worst hit world was Vortex Park. The Tornado has changed several parts of Marada though...

Vortex Park has been left almost totally destroyed. All Stock Market shares in any Vortex Park shop are now bankrupt.

With so many injured pets, the Hospital is currently FREE to visit.

The Time Machine survived the storm but has been damaged. Until it is repaired, it's bringing people back in time twice. It will reward 2 Prizes instead of 1 from its prize list.

Whenever there is a Tornado, the retired Sumo Sally Pass is back on sale at the Account Upgrades Shop.
It will automatically retire again when the weather changes.

Carpenter wants to help with the repairs from the Tornado. Instead of being random, you are guaranteed to receive a FREE toy fix from him after your next 10 Carpenter quests. After you earn a FREE fix of a broken toy (and use it) you will earn another after your next 13 Carpenter quests. This will keep increasing by 3 quests each time.

All Tornado, Thunder, Nimbus and Lightning Pets will receive FREE training at the Gym and Elite Gym and FREE lessons at the school and University .

When the Tornado hit Vortex Park, Marada's most violent criminals managed to escape from the Penitentiary. The Quack Mafia are notorious pearl thieves and they're currently at the top of Marada's Most wanted list. Be on high alert - these ducks are armed and will attack you whenever you start a new game of Duck or Dive.

The Health Tonics, medicine and tool Shops all have a 2 for 1special on their items to help Marada to recover.

The high winds and destruction have brought more cases of Random Events like pet's getting sick, items blowing away and attics breaking. The Knutt House is closed until the weather improves.

To help those affected by the Tornado, the Charity Shop is stocking many more items and all stock is currently FREE.

The tornado destroyed Vortex Park and thankfully travis and all 42 of his kids are safe and well. Unfortunately, they are left with very little and are still struggling to feed their family. If you bring him the food he needs to feed his family, he won't be able to reward with you with as much MP as before but he might give you a Photo or Plushie of one of his kids.

Travis Tuck rewards from the Tornado event:

Has anyone had any luck getting the new items from Travis? I've done close to fifty quests and have only received very little money from each quest.

Just curious if I'm just unlucky today or they are more on the rare side to receive.

If you're trying to get the new items from doing the Travis Tuck quests, you might have to complete upwards of 100-200 quests. He will be more rewarding as long as you continue to do his quests. You don't want to miss out, though, because the tornado event won't last long.

Marapets has released a new tornado-themed color, and 22 pets can wear the costume so far.

A new Tornado Account Upgrade Set has been released.

This set is on sale until September 1st and has 7 new Tornado themed items, a Tornado Costume and either a Tornado Enchanted Plushie or Tornado Potion. You can choose if you would like the main prize to be a Tornado Enchanted Plushie or Potion. Some pets haven’t been able to avoid the Tornado and have been injured.


The number of pets injured in the Tornado continue to climb. The Echlin, Ercuw, Eyru and Limax can now wear the Injured constume.

The Giftbox Shop has a new Duck or Dive Giftboxthat allows you to play it twice a day - for life!

Remember, whenever there is a Tornado weather event (like there is right now) you are guaranteed an attack by the Quack Mafia every time you play Duck or Dive. You can then battle them and if you win the battle you will win the Wild Minipet. Wild and Gourmet Minipets will be required for the new Tranquility Temple coming later this year.

The event sure has been fun so far. It's been quite challenging trying to get the new rewards from the Travis Tuck quests and the new 'Quack Mafia' experience.

There are still some new things planned for the Tornado event. The owner recently said that they’re going to release a couple more updates related to the event before it’s over.

The Arinya, Basil, Crikey, Daisy, Dakota, Echlin, Gizmo and Straya can now wear the Tornado Costume.

NEW FEATURE
The last time Marada had a Tornado King Baspinar ordered the Windmill be built to power his land with free electricity. This time around, the residents of Vortex Park decided it is time for them to do the same. Vortex Park has constantly strong winds and its residents often struggle to pay the excessive electricity bills always sent by the Power Station so it seemed like a perfect solution. They hired the pirates of Dukka Caves to build it and they were scammed. Instead of a bigger and better Windmill they received this rather colourful Pinwheel. It does not produce any electricity.

The Pinwheel spins depending on the wind conditions. Vortex Park is normally very, very windy but there are certain weather conditions in Marada which will change how it operates. Stop the Pinwheel from spinning and see where it lands.

Land on orange to win MP, green to win RP, red to win BP, yellow for a Fake Dukka Coin, light blue for a School stat or blue for a University stat. Purple will change your pet to a random colour and/or species and then change back, possibly earning a new transformation for its collection. If you have the Pet Stats Giftbox in your collection, you can also select which pet will receive any stats or transformations before you play!

You can play the Pinwheel for FREE once per day. Game resets at 00:00MST.

Have you had any luck winning any rewards from the Pinwheel? I’ve tested my luck twice so far and I haven’t managed to win anything yet.

The windmill is a bit easier, but that’s expected since the Pinwheel has a stronger wind gust powering it.

I don't play the game but i do think that's a really cool way of changing things up, fair play to them.
