According to Twitter’s developers, they have found backups of Vine’s videos and will soon begin restoring user access to the platform.

All the old videos from the platform will also be returning. They figured Vine’s former videos were all lost as “lost media”, but this wasn’t 100% true.

Yikes so Vine will be ran by Elon and the devs at Twitter? I guess they want to bring the platform back to try and compete against Tiktok.

To me, this might not make a lot of sense. What if it's a platform that they are wanting to create and not bring back any Vine archive? I know it can never be same like Vine.

The platform went out of business as a result of serious competition from Tiktok and the rest. It's certainly going to come back and compete.

I heard about Vine recently, and if they are trying to bring back, I think this would come as an advantage for creators as well as consumers. While creators will have one more platform where they can share content, consumers will have one more platform and they will have multiple choices for consuming content.

Vine coming back needs something very new. TikTok has already made a huge mark as a very popular short form video platform. So, Vine will need to come with something new to compete with it.
