I’ve had my virtual pet since the game launched, and now it's actually reaching old age. I just want it to live forever and thinking it's realistic for it to eventually retire.

I think it's a great way you can add realism and depth to the game. It's just a way to remind us to appreciate the time we have with our pets.

I agree with you, but I also think there should be an option for us to be able to adopt a new generation of pets as well . This will allow us to keep the legacy going.

Be nice if this stuff did last forever, but alas server costs can be a pain and most end up being ended to save money or the people in charge are no longer around 🙁

It'd be nice it they could last forever, which is a possibility of being real for as long as the pet ages slower in the game, like in real life they live to be 10~ years old, I don't know how a game with a pet that ages slower would affect gameplay though because it would be a long game to develop out a character to play and that might be boring to a degree.

I think it would be cool to see the pets age gracefully by developing gray traits on their coats, but I wouldn't want to lose any of the pets.

For example, once a pet reaches the age of 7 or 9 years since you created it, it could start getting gray spots on its design.

I have imagined how and when my pets will age and grow old. I will love to see them have some traits of old age on their coats and their walking steps changes.

I am of the opinion that pets can grow old and retire and even die so that new generation of pets can rise.

If you include a rare item that could make pets age longer, then it'd be okay.
Digimon has a similar feature(ps4 game), and it sucked having to start over/retrain your pets.
