VPL General Chat Thread

It have been a rainy day throughout. The rain just stopped now, it's 4:13PM. It's now my day is about to start 😂
 
Don't fret it guys, tomorrow is Friday. Weekend is already around the corner 🕺 🕺😎

Oh yes! I am excited about the weekend. Got to have a good sleep tomorrow because the week has been hectic and energy sapping!

I'll be going to pick up my laptop from the tech support office in a few minutes. Had to change the touch board.
 
How would you all rate your week? I think mine is between 6 or 7/10 good. At least, I get to rest tomorrow.

It has been a 5/10 thus far. Been nursing an injury on my right ankle. It has been a painful week thus far and pretty sucky.

But other than that, the week has been going quite well.

You told me about your injury, I hope you're getting better? Like I said before, you have to take it easy with your workouts.
 
Hey everyone I hope you all had a good weekend. My wife has been out of town since Friday and I've been missing her. I thought she was returning today but she's coming back home tomorrow and probably won't be home until later on in the afternoon or evening since she's about 6 hours away from home. Her and her mom met up with her aunt and cousin in Bentonville Arkansas.

Which drugs are you taking for the pain because I know that's very painful?

Thank you mate. I am taking ibuprofen and a prescription medication that is currently in my household. So far, both of them have been helping a great deal, along with resting, elevating the ankle, icing the ankle and heating pad.

However, I am not close to being back to 100% just yet. I will be going in for an x-ray later this week to see what’s the next steps to my recovery are.

I am unavailable to wear socks and shoes without my ankle swelling up & causing unbearable pain, however, i am somewhat good with just slippers on.

It will take time to heal, maybe around 3-5 weeks you should feel a lot better. Rest as much as possible and take all your meds, they will help with your recovery.

I broke the tibia about three years back first during a basketball game and then slipping during a hole in the grass that I didn’t see at my niece’s event. That tibia took about 12 weeks to heal. They started with a full ankle cast then the boot and I also broke it as a kid.🤦‍♂️ My first ankle break on the left foot take about 6 weeks to heal, however; the other breaks took longer. Recovery time depends and varies person-to person.

However, I am well aware of how long it takes to heal an Ankle injury, along with a Break, but thank you kindly for the information and advice, I appreciate it.

Oh heck those sound so painful! I currently have a leg injury as well, no breaks luckily, but there were a couple of months were my fibula seems to have been misaligned, and the relief I've had since that moved back into place is nuts. I literally can't imagine breaking my tibia! 😦

Sorry to hear about your current and prior injuries, I hope the time passes as peacefully as it can until you're all healed up~

That's exactly what I did when she got home haha. I hope everyone is having a good Sunday evening so far! I know lots of people go back to work after a long weekend tomorrow, hopefully you all have a good week!

I'm still feeling sore after Portugal was eliminated from the World Cup by Spain yesterday. Other than that, my day have been great.
 
I'm glad we're reaching the halfway of the week, though got a wedding to go this weekend that I don't want to go.

Ooh, yeah, I forgot you guy have been married now. You just have to squeeze out the time and go if not for anything else but for her mom.
