That's very true. I haven't played VR games and just like you I think it will not be a mainstream games but I strongly believe game industry will continue to get bigger.

I've seen multiple players state how uncomfortable they felt when they tried VR gaming. It is a concern, and for that reason, I still see normal gaming with a PC, console, or handheld device being the main thing right now.

While I agree with you that technology has made it possible for us to be able to play certain games on mobile and other handheld tools, it can never give me that feeling when I play on consoles or even PC. The difference is always clear.
