What’s your least favorite genre of music?

Is there a music genre that just doesn’t click with you? Maybe it’s because it’s overplayed, the style isn’t your thing, or the lyrics don’t resonate.



For me, I’ve never been able to get into metal. The intensity and constant screaming just feel overwhelming, and I can’t connect with it. It’s like noise more than music to me.


I also struggle with country music. Where I live, it’s everywhere, and the themes in the lyrics often feel repetitive or overly sentimental. It’s just not my cup of tea.



What about you? Are there any genres you can’t stand?
 
For me its screaming metal music and rap, both seem to be dribble at some points and doesn't make any sense.

I'm not a fan of heavy metal music too. I don't like a loud sounds and the screaming vocals. It's definitely too much for me. I prefer a music that is calmer.
 
I've never had a fondness for most country music.
 
Heavy metal is my least favorite. I won't give it a chance.
 
My favourite genres of music are classical, blues, rap, reggae. It doesn't mean that I don't listen to other genre but it's not too deep like this one.
 
Heavy metal is too messy for my ears to take. I also don't like hard rock so much but the rest of music genre, I'm good with them.

Heavy metal music isn't for everyone. It's okay if you don't like it. Music is about personal taste. There are many genres to choose from, so you can find one that you enjoy listening to.

I love pop and film soundtracks such as musicals.

I also enjoy dubstep from time to time.

It feels as if they are banging right inside my head. It's why I don't like it. I'll start having migraine immediately.

My least favourite genres of music would have to be heavy metal and heavy rock.

I find them to be much more noise than music.

I’ll go straight to sleep. Metal music bores me to death.

I don't like Country music so much except for Dolly Parton's songs maybe because of her big PLOT 😂 😂 😂

I like Luke Bryan and Will Dempsay & Jelly Rolly. They're the only three country artists that I'll listen too, but I'd listen to other country artists if their lyrics & beats are good.

I can't stand rap or dubstep. I get rap isn't for me, and tells a story. I just prefer to listen to music with good backing tracks and most rap doesn't have that. Also Dubstep is a bunch of noise to me, can't stand it at all and I'm a person who loves synth based music.

I consider it as loud noise making. There's nothing interesting to enjoy listening to heavy metal music. It doesn't matter what they are singing.

I've played some of Will Dempsey's songs. He's not bad at all. His catalog isn’t massive yet but some my his songs that are my favourite are ;

1. Mississippi Mud
2. The Fire
3. Best Parts of Me
 
I don't like rock music. I mean those kinds of rock music that are always high tempo with manly strings musical instruments. They sound so much like noise to me and seems to distort my sanity.

Dolly Parton was the one singer who made me fall in love with Country Music. Her song Jolene lives rent free in my head.
 
I am not very fond of heavy metal music though I like the spirit and the strength. So, that tells you that music is a matter of taste and everybody likes it in his/her own way.
 
Hip-hop and rap.
I just can't stand these genres of music.

I used to feel the the same way, but now country music is one of my favorite genres, lol.

I pretty much listen to a lot of country artists these days.
