I was scrolling through my liked songs on Spotify and it got me thinking—who dominates your playlist? How many tracks do they have on there?

Out of curiosity, I took a look at mine and did a quick count. Turns out my top artist has 129 songs on the list!

How about you? Who’s your most liked artist, and how many of their tracks have made the cut?

I heard system down is pretty good, anything you recommend listening to first?
To be honest, I enjoy all of their songs. The lyrics of two or three songs make me skip them with kids in the car, but beyond that, you can't go wrong with a SOAD song or vocalist (after the split) Serj Takian solo work.

Yesterday, System of a Down - Tentative played in the car and gave me some pretty deep thoughts as we inch ever closer to a possible global conflict. A lot of their songs are applicable today, but a lot is written in the pain of the Armenian genocide, not even recognized till a couple of years ago.

ChatGPT only recognizes 4 of them, but I'm sure there are bits in many songs that subtly reference it.
  • "P.L.U.C.K." (1998): This track from their debut album is dedicated to the victims of the Armenian genocide, condemning the perpetrators.
  • "Holy Mountains" (2005): Featured on the album Hypnotize, this song references Mount Ararat and reflects on the souls lost during the genocide.
  • "Protect the Land" (2020): Released to raise awareness during the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, the song highlights the ongoing struggles of Armenians, connecting past atrocities to present conflicts.
  • "Genocidal Humanoidz" (2020): Released alongside "Protect the Land," this track addresses themes of aggression against Armenians, resonating with historical and contemporary issues.

Chop Suey is probably what they're known for, but it's highly overrated compared to their entire discography.

When I took a look at my Spotify yesterday. My top artist has 97 songs on my playlist. I was even surprised that I have such a huge number of songs on my playlist.
