Marapets is one of most popular pet site games. It's almost in the same level with Neopets and they have so much similarities which makes some say its a copy of Neopets but that's exactly 100% true.

Which features on Marapets do you not like so much? If I can think of any, it's going to be how ads gets in my way and also having to put a security code whenever you buy something and finish a quest.

I think the concepts and similarities between Marapets and Neopets were influenced by the fact that the owner of Marapets used to run a popular Neopets guild called, Maraqua. After Ian and his co-founder, Laimay, were frozen, they started Marapets. However, there are features unique to Marapets that Neopets doesn’t have, such as the loyalty features, goals, jobs and freelance agency feature. The monthly checklist feature is another concept that sets Mara from Neo, but there’s no denying that there’s 85% more features that are like Neopets.

Also, the amount of advertisements is one thing that I dislike about Marapets as well. The security feature is a tad bit annoying especially when you’re trying to restock and doing quests a lot.

The features are the same with Marapets and Neopets though not all of them. Marapets have the loyalty, goals and freelance agency features. I don't have issue with the security but the advertisement is much.

Marapets always felt like a Neopets copy, and that's one of the main reasons why I always disliked it. They didn't have anything unique.

This is true. I have some of my friends who couldn't get into playing Marapets because it felt to them like they were replaying Neopets.

Sounds like the site is a newer Neopets site, hopefully in time it will have all the same features if not more.

Neopets is coming back up with a lot of new updates to stay ahead in the game because they have slacked to some extent. I see Marapets doing the same thing too and soon.

The loyalty, goals, and freelance features are all things Neopets should have implemented as well but didn’t. The school and university features are both great too. I like that your pets can’t get certain jobs unless they have certain stats that are only obtainable from putting them in school.

I don't ever see them turning it down with how they use ads in the game. It's one of their best ways to make money from it.
I know they generate their money from ads but making it to be too much. Someone can be distracted easily while the ads keep popping. They should minimize the advertisement.

@Ja sa bong I understand your point and I think I'm with you on this. The ads are quite frustrating and intrusive and the worst part is that it's always disrupting the gaming experience. But hey, I still enjoy playing Marapets so much despite all these issues and I really hope they'll address these issues in their future updates.

Even with all the advertisement, I can also admit that I am still enjoying playing the game. It's just that I can't help it complaining once in a while when I feel like they've frustrated me enough with the way they are displaying at the ads.

Sadly, it's something I don't think they are ever going to stop. It's like asking Epic Games to reduce how they use microtransaction in Fortnite.

It would be nice if they added the ability to remove ads as an account upgrade feature. I think it could still help them generate revenue, as some users would probably choose to do it instead of seeing all the ads. It’s also possible for users to get account upgrades via the currency exchange feature. Other users trade the currency for a going rate of $2.2 million Marapoints.

I'm very sure that a lot of those who are playing the game will be very much interested in paying for an account upgrade in order to avoid having excessive ads displayed when they are playing their games. They will make more money from doing that.

I could see them offering it as a gift box or including it in one of their monthly account upgrade sets. Users would likely purchase it instead of seeing ads all the time. Their gift box sets are a nice addition to the game, so I think it could be a feasible option.

I have experienced that security code peeve on Marapets. It always seems to interrupt the flow of the game for me. And it can be pretty annoying. I always wonder if they can't make the system to demand for security code after a reasonable number of actions.

Marapets has so many ads, and there should be ways to eliminate those annoying ads through a premium subscription. It would be a great idea for user satisfaction and to boost profit.

Neopets and Marapets have things in common but what I hated then is that ads. The loyalty and goal features make Marapets unique in a way but playing it seems as if one is going back to play Neopets.

The thing I did not like about Marapets is the excessive ads. They are frequent and it is very disturbing and makes the game very boring. I believe it would be easy if we could pay a small amount to get rid of them.

No one is talking about how rude and disrespectful some of the staff of Marapets are. Players have complained about being overlooked and belittled when they are seeking help or assistance. To some extent, I'll say that the community Maratalk is becoming toxic.

It's so annoying and there's nothing one can do about it. I know they are getting their money but making it too excessive is worrisome for players.

Marapets has this monetisation problem because there are just too many paid features that bores the casual gamers out. Its designs are not frequently updated and it looks out of date. Those are points that should be addressed.

It truly is. I'd honestly say they have more advertisements than any other pet site out there. I don't see any other pet site having multiple advertisements per page like Marapets does.

I always found marapets to look busy with excessive ads. All those ads plus the old fashioned graphics can make the experience more like a chore than fun.

It was like a chore than fun. Those days that games used to be fun is no more here, we are only paying for the excessive ads.

What they have failed to realise is that most of those ads would put some players off from visiting their site. I can't be comfortable playing on a platform where at every turn, I am meant to watch an ad. It can be frustrating!

The thing is Marapets have certain features that started to be repetitive. The concept may be excellent initially, but some modifications made it less interesting.
