Classic virtual pets had simpler mechanics but strong charm. Do you see any features from older games that are missing in the modern games? What do you think current developers could implement from early virtual pet communities?

Simplicity is what i miss. The old pet games are not complicated. You just feed your pet, play a little and rest. But now everything is premium, ads, daily tasks and many others. Before, you could enjoy your game without spending money, not any more.

I miss the simple stuff. No microtransactions everywhere. You just fed, played, and cleaned up after them. Also those little mini-games that actually gave decent rewards. And the personality quirks each pet had? New games feel too shiny and money-hungry.
