What inspires you to write?

Writing can be easier when one is able to find an inspiration to write. To be able to pen down your thoughts in the best possible way is a good way to go. When it comes to writing, how do you draw inspiration?

I draw inspiration whenever I am playing music, a good environment or if I am in a lighter mood. I can't write well if I am in a sad mood or if I am angry within myself maybe because of what I saw or an unconducive environment.

I agree, Music helps me think clearly and helps the ideas flow out of my head. Having said that it's hard for me to come up with ideas without music. 😎

Music inspires me as well as things I read on the internet, along with TV shows and movies. I sometimes draw inspiration from other sources too, but it’s mainly music that keeps me inspired. Additionally, being able to express my thoughts in writing is another important source of inspiration.

Music is life😊 and writing is an inspiration. When you add life to an inspiration, you got the best result.

This is awesome. There are times when I go to the woods all as a result of looking for where I can stay and write. It has always worked because being in a place of calmness inspires me to begin writing, and the results have always been excellent.

Woods or natural place has it 100% for helping in terms of writing. It will give you the calmness and insight that will boost your writing.

I used to go very far to the woods or even at a park in the evening. As I am there, I will be listening to their soothing voices.

I get inspiration from my everyday experiences and observations. Sometimes, a get ideas from a discussion. Other times, I get some wonderful ideas from reading books or articles on diverse topics.

That's also a nice way to be inspired. Before now, I used to walk in the rain because it helps my sanity. It helps me to keep it clear and my thinking being so cool and mindful.

True! Music can be a great catalyst. I also find inspiration in history and sciences too.

I find inspiration whenever I am at the beach. I am happy that the nearest beach is only 15 minutes away. The sound of the waves inspires me, so I go there whenever I want to write something for my blog. Currently, I am using a free blogging platform, but I plan on buying a domain website before the year ends in hopes of monetizing it. Hehe

There was a time I will be conversing with my head, words going round and not even one voice, I will just pick pen and write them all down. It's always good to communicate one's thoughts and experiences for others to read.

Isn't that the primary purpose of writing. But sadly, writing is so much commercialized that these days you will be told to write what readers like to read.

You can commercialized it because you needed the money. Maybe having your personal account where you post your experience or thoughts will boost how your readers sees you.

I've seen this work for a couple of writers. When you have a personal account, it is easier for a lot of people to relate better with you and that is a good way to build and have a reputation.

Yeah, it mostly work on Facebook. Some people have their personal accounts where they pour out their thoughts. Though it might seems as if it's not booming the way you want, it takes time to grow.

Growing is never easy, but we should keep pushing, and getting to the finishing line is what is important. To create content that will draw people in is never and has never been easy at all.

If the greatest inspiration comes when you are asleep, how then do you get to put it in writing or do you do it once you are awake from the sleep?

I usually do it once I'm awake but if I leave it for some hours, I won't get all the necessary angles very well. I have a notebook and pen under my pillow or inside my bag all the time.

Everything around me is a source of inspiration for me to write. From the woman carrying a baby on her back on the street, to the arguments in open markets, all of those things give me inspiration to write. I don't have a particular thing that I draw inspiration from to write.
