I'd say Sonic 2. The whole two-player mechanic with tails being able to fly and carry sonic led to lots of laughs and betrayals.

I prefer simpler games, nothing too graphic or gory. I liked the old style Atari games I grew up with. Donkey Kong, Joust, Pitfall, Centipede, Space Invaders. The graphics were old-school but they were still quite fun to play.

Probably anything Donkey Kong or Mario Based!

I love Sonic 2 but I still think Sonic 3 and Knuckles did everything better than 2. It introduced Knuckles, Sonic's sprites look so much better than his Sonic 2 sprites, and the levels were much bigger. The 2 player mode was nerfed a bit though, so Sonic 2 did that better. Also the player can't make Tails fly in Sonic 2, so you are probably thinking of Sonic 3. 😛 Unless if you're playing the mobile or modern versions of Sonic 2, say like the origins version.

One of my old time favourites when it comes to retro would be Contra : Hard Corps on Sega. I can't get the game's memories off my mind.

I like playing retro games most especially the old school ones! I would say that Super Mario Bros on the NES has been my favourite game ever since. The catchy tunes, the visual designs, and simple mechanics have not aged a day since then. What was your favorite retro game? Do you still play it today

Mario Kart, Tekken, Mortal Kombat and NFL Blitz are my favorite retro games.

I haven’t played them in years though.

I think Donkey Kong Country will forever be my favorite. I've played it a few times on emulators. Back then, I played it constantly on our Super Nintendo.

I was so eagar to see if no one would mention Donkey Kong Country, then I will know most gamers here are not really into playing retro games.

Sonic the Hedgehog is the best gaming franchise IMO, I love going back and playing the Genesis games. I also love Pokemon and enjoy playing Generation 3 but honestly it's been a very long time since I've played a Gen 3 game. I've played Gen 1 more than any other generation even though it's not my favorite. I also love the Mega Man series with X4 and 8 being my favorites. Also I love Mega Man Legends too!

Mortal Kombat would be up there for me. Diddy Kong Racing, and I also haven't played them for awhile.

I completely agree with you about Sonic the Hedgehog being among the best retro games out there. Have you watched the latest movie Sonic the Hedgehog 3?

One of my favorite retro games is Super Mario. I remember playing it with my older brother when we were kids. I still play it today on my gaming console, and it never fails to bring me joy and excitement.

Those are classic choices. Some of the best remembered games include Mario Kart, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and NFL Blitz to name just but a few. I also had some good fun out of them a while back at least.

The Legend of Zelda seems to be the best retro game that I have played. The game is just too immersive and I still enjoy playing it till today. Super Mario is a good game retro game too.

Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup on the Nintendo GameCube was one of the best sports video game of Harry Potter series. It was the best broomstick-flying competition I've played.

This is nostalgic! I remembered playing Metroid Prime on GameCube. It's been a long time and it's definitely one of my favorite Retro video games.

I'm keeping tabs on Metroid Prime 4: Beyond to know when it's going to be released. Although, it's supposed to be released 2025 but no specific date have been mentioned.
