From my personal experience, I don't listen to news channels like CNN and the rest very often. It's only Al Jazeera I pay more attention as a news channel.

I know most people would be the same way when it comes to listening to news channels.

What's your primary source of accessing news?

I don't really follow up much of the news coverage. I hear it from people and if I am hooked up to the news I will check out on the internet on few different sources because it is hard today to navigate and find truth.

I get my news from a variety of online sources, like websites for news and social media. I love following Al Jazeera too.

I get my news anywhere provided they are reputable sources but I'm always skeptical of news on social media platforms because it is so porous and can give fake news. In most cases, I use Google news, Al Jazeera, BBC and CNN to catch up with the latest events.
This is also why I mainly follow reputable news accounts on social media. It's quite easy for misinformation to spread like rapid fire on social media smh.

It's a shame honestly. I also have Google news alert set up to my email where I'll receive news right away when certain things hit the news.

Tiktok for me.
I don't really Google stuff anymore and most of the time, I get the news through various tiktok videos (0v0)
May be in this way, I can explain my addiction to Tiktok a bit....

I get my news from Google and BBC because I'm always after the accuracy of the information I get. Setting up Google news alerts has also helped me to stay up to date.

I got my news from social media platforms. I have reputable and concerned citizens that will only tell you the truth or facts about the happenings all round the world.

Any social media platforms can tell us what's happening and Tiktok is one of them. I prefer to use Tiktok for entertainment than news because it might not be in full detail.

My primary source for news would have to be Sky News. I tend to check Sky News at least a few times a day to keep up to date with the latest goings on.

I would also say that TikTok is another source that I get my news from, I have found out news from TikTok before checking Sky News in the past.

That's true.
Sometimes you find half truths as well. I never thought... People would be that way before...but even influencers are humans and they can have a biased judgement as well

Yes, I know that the influencers can be biased in judgement because they are humans but too much of half facts or truths is never satisfying to us that are viewing or listening.

That's true. Sometimes I find that... It's hard to get the actual news ... even from some websites and channels as well.
So yes it's quite annoying how... Easy these people... Think to manipulate us common folks ;_;

You can only get actual news from channels or websites that are genuine with their news. BBC and some others are can give the real truths or facts, just visit their website.

The point is that even the BBC and the rest now support a particular government in power or an opposition. How are you going to get real news from them?
BBC and CNN are not reliable news channels. It's why I don't pay any attention to them. They always drive a narrative that suits the government all the time.

I often find my news on the BBC or CNN and I look at reliable fact-checking sites to be sure any news is real.

I’ve heard that CNN and BBC both supply biased news, so I always look for other sources of news when I come across an article from one of their news stations.

Reading news from social media platforms such as Bluesky, Truth and The X app can help as well. It is all about figuring out which of them that works for you.

I won't be joining the Truth app any time soon, but I do use Bluesky to check the news from time to time. Certain sections on Reddit are also great, especially the commentary that comes after new news breaks.
