Based on my opinion, video games aren't just fun alone, I think they are also designed to teach us some valuable life lessons. I think I saw this in games like The Last of Us. It taught me perseverance and sacrifice. Not only that, Portal taught me how to think deeply and be creative..

What about you?

That's spot on! A developer who knows the onion of game development shouldn't just make a game without an educative story. That's what will keep the players engaged. I highly recommend playing Life is Strange.

One game that I have found that has really impacted life lessons to me is called "Papers Please". The player is an immigration officer for a fictional country. And has to make decisions on droves of people that seek entry into the country. The game has taught me how to make rational decisions regardless of how tough it might be.

None! Because games are basically designed for fun and entertainment. If you try, you can find lessons in every thing, everything can teach you a lesson, it is just about how you interpret things.

The Final Fantasy games and Zelda series taught me being brave and courageous can pay off.

I also play for fun and don't think too deeply about lessons that I am going to learn by playing any game. It is not just part of the plans that I've got when I go into any game at all.
