When is a sim or pet game considered successful?

I would consider a game successful after an extended period of time If continues to get new accounts. I suppose there are a lot of other ways one could measure success. Reaching a specific number of users, specific level of traffic, exceeding an income goal etc.

As a player do you view success different?
Does popularity equal success?

As an owner or potential owner have you considered any methods of measuring success through data mining?

So, what are your thoughts on success?

Based on my opinion, I think a sim or pet game is considered to be very successful when it has dedicated player base and also continues to grow as well. There should also be a consistent traffic as this is definitely indicators of success.

As a player, a game is considered to be successful if it regularly update its content and features. The good thing about this is that it keep the community well engaged and active too.

When a pet site exceed its level of income goal, it's bound to be very successful. This is one of the key indicators of success.
I agree! Building a pet site requires significant investment, especially if you need to hire both artists and programmers. However, it’s often easier to generate revenue if you can handle both roles yourself.

Most pet sites take time to grow and reach a point where they generate consistent income. That said, some can find immediate success, especially if they’ve built a strong social media following or gone viral before launching.

I completely agree! Regular updates are key to keeping players engaged and coming back for more.

What do you think are the most important features that can make or break a pet site’s success?
