I just bought a mini PC last year and it is working great, I have it hooked to my TV and I use it for browsing the web, and checking email and I have even used it to play Minecraft. Much to my surprise it didn't have any problem playing Minecraft. How about you? When was the last time you upgraded your computer?

My current PC is 2 years old. It's still working very well like a new baby out of the box. I don't have any plans to upgrade it until it starts giving me issues.

Literally bought a brand new Gaming PC last week and it's been fantastic so far, so glad i went for it! It was a lot of back and forth trying to find the right one for me.

Hrmmm, three years ago when I outright bought a new one. I'll most likely run this one into the ground and buy a new one.

Nice what are your computer specs? I am nerdy like that lol. I love computer specs. 😀

How much was the new gaming PC you bought and what's the best specs of it which you love most?

It should be about 7 years ago that I last upgraded on my computer and I think it's about time I do something about it. Maybe by next year, I should be getting a new PC.

What are the specs you're looking at when next you're upgrading your PC? What's your budget for it going to be like?

I don't really know. This laptop updates automatically. I don't really think about what it does.

I think what the OP is talking about is having to buy a new system, like how long does it take to upgrade from your old PC to a new one.

I got a new PC six and a half years ago. I can still play games with no lag at reasonable settings. I will probably consider upgrading in the next two years. There's a lot of new tech coming out soon, and it will be a better deal to wait.

This is equality only reason why I have to upgrade either my PC or my smartphone. Whenever they are good new upgrades that are necessary for me to start using, it won't take time before I will be forced to upgrade.

I used to upgrade my smartphone every 2 years, but my phone is plenty fast and still has a good battery life so I don't see the need to upgrade. I would rather save the money every month.

That's exactly what I meant how long it's been since you bought your last computer. My gaming PC died 3 years ago and I went 2 years before buying my Mini PC. And my Mini PC is a year old next month.

As long as the smartphone is still very good and it's not lagging because of low RAM, there's no need to upgrade when it's not necessary.

It is a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and it has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. So I should be good for a couple more years I hope.

Yeah, that's very correct. As long as you're not into downloading a lot of apps and movies on the device, you should be good for a while.

The last time I upgraded my PC was July 2023 when my other half purchased a laptop for me to replace my desktop PC which was giving me a lot of issues constantly restarting when I was in the middle of something.

I don't have a lot on my phone, I think I have 68GB free. And I be honest all I use my phone for is checking emails when I am out and browsing the web when I don't have enough time to be on my PC or when I am away from home.

My computer was upgraded see December 2023. It has been serving me well since till now, I haven't see any issue that's a trouble to me. As for my phone, I got it updated every now and then. I think I work more this days with my phone than the way I used to do before with my laptop.

As long as you're not downloading much, you should be fine. I have my friend who never download any movies, he streams them online. It saves his memory.

I had a smartphone which did that to me back in the days. It was a Tecno product Camon C8 if I remembered correctly. It kept restarting when I'm doing something it. I had to get rid of it.

I never stream or download movies to my phone. I only stream movies on my Firestick to my TV.

Your PC is still very new. You wouldn't be needing a new PC upgrade in a very long time. How long did you use your last PC before upgrading?

I recently upgraded my computer. It originally had 4gb of ram and I upgraded it to 16gb. Its been running a lot better and smoother. I hope I won’t have to upgrade it anytime soon.

I have just added more RAM and storage to my computer and now it operates twice as fast which is amazing.

Nice! How much ram did and storage were you running previously?

I believe it's been 3 years or so.
I had to get a new laptop for myself before I move to another country. So......

I've wanted to get into 3D computer art, so an upgrade in memory has been something I want or getting a gaming computer.

Anyway, that's not been possible lately as I'm ate up with bills.

I have upgraded my computer's RAM to improve its performance and it's so amazing to upgrade. It's like a breath of new life into an old machine
