Where are you from?

In an effort to help everyone to get know one another, let’s talk about where we’re all from!!

I’ll start. I’m originally from Brockton, Massachusetts and I lived there for 15 years, however, I’ve been residing in Texas for the past 15 years. I can honestly say that Brockton and Texas are both places that I consider home.

So, where are you from?

I'm from England, UK.

Been here all my life. Grew up in the same house all my life (bar my stint at university).

I'm a front end web developer IRL and making a game in my spare time (not a pet site though).

26, female, bit of a mythology geek at times and my new love is Asian dramas, specifically Xianxia/Wuxia.

Apart from that it's pretty quiet, I have no kids, pets nor SO.

if you don’t mind me asking, what did you major in while you were attending university?
Also, what type of a game are you currently developing?

I majored in Computer Security and Forensic Investigation

So basically learning about businesses, data deletion, crown court, the law, data recovery, a little bit of wireless password hacking, brute force, etc.

I'm making a browser based / text based game. I just don't have that pet element. Probably it will be something more like Torn, ReignOfBlood, RogueVampires, etc.

Stuck on the overarching theme but I'm tempted to make this overall fully customisable. I used to love the Legend of the Green Dragon games and used that framework a little in University, and I want to improve my skills so I'm heading down this route for fun.

I am originally from Canton, Illinois but moved to Texas when I was 5 and have been here ever since. I am an 83 year old great-grandmother whose kids and grandkids are all grown. I live with a son and his wife since I developed some health issues. Thus, playing games like Marapets is entertaining for me and helps to pass the time. I volunteer to work at the Food Pantry at my church 2 days a week.

I'm from California but hoping to move to New York within the year. After that I plan to move to Canada but that'll be a bit more of a wait. Haven't moved that far from home in my lifetime so it'll be interesting but definitely for the better.

What part of Texas? I’ve stayed in Houston, spring and now Conroe. I have traveled to Dallas and Austin in the past.

My husband and I live in the center of North America in Winnipeg, Canada. I'm originally from Niagara Falls and moved to Winnipeg about 5 years ago. The husband has been here in Winnipeg all his life. 😋

I used to live in Toronto as well. I loved it. I also was raised in southern ontario in a town called Fort Erie. It shares a border with Buffalo. From Buffalo to Toronto wouldn't be a bad day trip, yeah.
