Why can't video games be 100% realistic?

I haven't seen 100% realistic video games before. I think that too much realism would make games boring or overwhelming. What really matters is for games to balance between realism and fun.

The technical limits and processing power are what really come into play and that's why the developer can't achieve 100% realism.
What do you think?

I think games are pretty close to having super realistic graphics already. I can barely notice the difference when I'm playing certain games, sometimes. Especially in newer sports games.

I believe that realism would also raise some concerns. It's very crucial for games to be moderated. 100% realism would eliminate the game’s fantasy and creativity.

Games can't be 100% realistic because of the 5 (arguably 20+) human senses that we have that games just can't give us at this time.

We can get feel with haptic feedback and sound and vision, but it's not going to be until Neurallink that they can be 100% realistic so that we can plug our brains into feeling the entire game. Even then, I don't think you could make something 100% realistic without a psychologist on the team to change a story to make emotional connections.

They are real enough to me in terms of the graphics being a lot better than what it used to be years ago with the use of so much improved game engine like the Unreal Engine 5.

I think over the years video games have become a lot more realistic than they ever used to be but if they were to be made 100% realistic, I don't think it would feel like gaming anymore. I feel as gaming is now is perfect!
