Huge maps, hundreds of quests, and endless collectibles don't always create memorable experiences. What makes content meaningful rather than just abundant? Have you played a massive game that felt surprisingly shallow?

Is the game fun to play? Does it have a purpose and an engaging story? Those are the questions that some of these devs should ask before adding any feature to a game.

There are lots of games in the market which means devs should think more about what matters to a game before going ahead to build one.

Not sure why developers ever thought making an oversized map with so many areas empty was a great idea. Make them smaller, compact and more engaging.

Games can feel empty when exploration lacks rewards or consequences. Even with lots of content, if actions don’t change anything meaningful or feel disconnected from goals, players experience it as hollow rather than engaging.

I think that is mainly because of vast maps and endless checklists. They usually put meaningful interactivity, deep narratives, and player choice on the side.
