Some games let pets grow, evolve, or even age over time. This adds realism but can also create pressure or sadness. Do aging systems deepen emotional connection or make the experience stressful? What kind of life cycle do you prefer for virtual pets?

Aging systems can deepen attachment because they make pets feel more real and time meaningful. But if they’re too fast or permanent, I believe aging system can create stress or loss.

Pet aging systems adds a realism effect to pet games and sim games, but generally, we don't see this feature too often on pet games. They're normally very popular with sim games.

It can create pressure and sadness, however, I'd say that potions can revive a pet if they age over time and a user isn't taking care of their pets correctly.

I do know that on Marapets pets can pass away, and head to the graveyard, but you're able to revive them.

I prefer evolving pets, especially ones where you can "hatch" an egg, then then form, or watch a baby pet grow into its adult form. The evolving pets feature is generally more fun to me, and interesting.

Hatching pets is also a great way to keep users entertained as they tend to care for their eggs prior to them hatching.
