Why do some simple games stay fun for years?

Not every great game has deep systems or cutting-edge graphics. Some games are simple but people continue to enjoy it for a long time..What keeps you coming back to games with simple gameplay even after many years?

I think simple games last because they're easy to pick up but still leave room to improve. The core gameplay is satisfying, so you don't need constant updates or complicated mechanics to enjoy them.

One main reason is these games are easy to play because they don't have a stiff learning curve. These games can be enjoyed all age groups.
