Wolt Lab is a German software company. It has the cheapest price of all the premium forum software. However, though, is that an accurate representation of the truth? Are there hidden costs?

Anyway, how do you feel about the software? Have you used it as an admin or user? What are some good mods and themes? How does it compare to other forum software, free or paid?

Myself, I've always wanted to try it but haven't gotten around to it. Well, when I did use paid stuff, it was XenForo.

I’ve personally never used Woltlab before as an Admin, but @Ravenfreak currently runs a forum with it.

The software looks pretty neat and sleek though. They have various add ons, like a CMS system and weather alerts according to their plugins page.

The main license costs $129 a year, which includes a year of support. However, if you want to add the blog feature to it, it’ll add another $75 to your total license cost.

I have seen people who use Woltlab, and as much as it does look like clean software, I don't think it would be software I would be happy using as an admin, mainly because I am so used to Xenforo now.

Well, I have not tried it. The only premium software that I have ever tried is Xenforo.

I have heard about it but I have not seen how it looks. Based on what I have read, it does not seem to be an impressive forum software but I think it will be a solid choice for those with a low on budget because they are offering a competitive price. That being said, i'm quite sure that there will be some hidden cost for certain features and add-ons.
