Writer’s block is one of my biggest pet peeves because sometimes it can last a few days or it can last a lot longer. However, what usually helps you get over writer’s block?

Do you ever get writers block when trying to think of new content?

Rarely, do I ever get writers block. I'm usually good with coming up with new ideas. Especially for forum posts which I plan to do here a lot, and help @cpvr make this community strive again.

I have gone through writer's block a few times and it can be frustrating. I find taking some time away and coming back later helps. Heading out for a walk can help the ideas flow.

It’s very frustrating. The main thing that helps me out is when I just write down ideas and write basic things, then come back to it later & see if my ideas start flowing better.

I also noticed that if I take a lot of time away from writing, then writer’s block is a lot harder to overcome smh

I can agree with this. I took a five-year break from writing myself from 2017 - 2022 and coming back I enjoyed, but I found I hit writer's block frequently, which became frustrating.

Now I find I do not hit it as often but it does still sometimes happen.

I don't get writers block much but you could watch a movie and more then likely your ideas will come back to life.

I personally type so much in about 10 years my wrist might need attention.

I always take a break. It is as simple as that. If I push to continue writing when I am having writer's block, I will end up not giving my best.

I get writer's block every morning. I usually listen to music or watch TV, and then it usually goes away. And if that doesn't work, ill listen to music all day until dinner and then for sure writer's block is gone.

Just take a break, take a walk far from your working sites, take some dance or play some games.

I love to take a walk to a place faraway, do other things that's not related to my writing and play some music, that's the way I overcome writer's block.

Hmm... I get it quite often, tbh. My blog is mostly just a hobby that I do on the side, so I'm not writing in it very often, since it isn't something I'm trying to turn into a side gig. I'm just doing it for fun, so whenever I feel like it, could be a few days, could be weeks or months between posts. I spend most of my time with family IRL, and my new job I'll need to be setting time aside for.

Several days, several times have I had writer's block. I will be blank for some hours or even some days, the best I will do that moment or those days is to take my time out of the forums or platforms to cool my head.

Changing environment helps too. Allowing yourself to be away from writing some hours or a day will also help out a lot. Writer's block can only be cloudy when you force yourself to write while tired.

I like tips on changing the environment. I also find talking to fellow writers or joining writing groups very helpful as well. Because if you share struggles and hear from others' experiences, it’ll help provide fresh perspectives.

Reading and research are definitely excellent ways to reboot yourself. I also try to overcome writer’s block by setting tiny and achievable goals. Sometimes, I boost my momentum by writing just 250 words of content.

I never go through writer's block because I can always think of something to write about.

What does happen, though, is word block. I often know exactly what I'm writing, and then get to the point in the sentence where I am at the point of, "What word was that I was going to select? If I can't think of it, I need to rewrite this entire sentence, and maybe the entire paragraph, or it won't flow as I intended."

There have been some times that I can think of what to write but due to the sentences not making sense to me, I will rewrite or I can start afresh to write it again. I didn't know that's word block happening to me.

I am more of a designer than a writer, just like writers we also have designers block. In times like this what I normally do is to take a break. I stop struggling and just focus on something else, it could be a movie, a good book, or even games. After a while I make a little research on projects done by others, since my mind is in a more relaxed state, it helps me easily pick one or two things that I can use for my own work. As a writer going to new places is also a good way to fight writer's block.
