Programming? Partners? Community?

For those who own pet sites, do you own them on your own or work with others? Did you code your own site, or did you find a partner skilled in coding, or did you hire someone? What areas would you suggest someone study before programming a pet site? If you hired someone, how did you get the funds to do so, and how much did it cost? How have you built up the community of your site?

A lot of questions, I know 😅! I really appreciate any replies, I have no idea what I’m doing!
