Hi!

After a few attempts over the years, I've managed to snag teripets.com.

Huge win for myself nostalgia-wise, however I do fully intend (and have the ability to) bring it back, from the ground-up, avoiding any potential issues regarding art.

Obviously this is gonna take a lil while, but in the meantime I'd love to hear about what people remember regarding TeriPets - i.e. features in general, what drew you to the game, and such!

There's a lot I personally remember, but I don't remember it all (I was a young teen at the time) - I just want to make sure I'm able to re-create a faithful, but modern, remake of the site.

If there are artists happy with recreating the TeriPets style (I still have some TeriPets-inspired original artworks I commissioned many years back which I'll be using in the interim, will share those once I get things settled), feel free to ping me/reply and I'll get a discord link over to you regarding some commissions - otherwise I'll be sure to post once I've established some more details 🙂

I liked the silver layout that Teripets used to have and the underground feature was pretty cool.

The underground feature reminded me of some rpg games. For the simple fact that you could loot, bribe your way to become the wealthiest crime boss as long as you didn’t get caught. It was a unique feature and it was something that you couldn’t find on other pet games.

@oyed I remember teripets! It was one of my favorites growing up, but I never knew what happened to it, do you? D :
I would love trying my hand at recreating art for it in its old style if you haven't gotten any bites yet, it'd be an honor!

I was trying to find some info regarding Teri for sooo long, this feels like a sign as it was posted on my birthday :') That was my favorite game as a kid and I would love to play it again. Any help that you made need I would love to help. I do art, as well as have been a moderator for small sites. Hope to see the revival! As a long time fan <3

TeriPets was my jam back in the day. I just loved the variety of pets and the community. It was so active and friendly. I will definitely love to see a modern remake with updated graphics and new features too.

The community aspect was a huge part of TeriPets' appeal. I think adding a virtual currency or marketplace will add a new layer of depth to the game.
 
Teri was my favorite petsite of all time, OMG. I was also a young teen back then! I do art and have some experience moderating online communities (primarily on discord, but I was a mod on DaylightPets a million years ago). Please don't hesitate to hit me up if you're still looking for people, I'd absolutely love to be a part of this project.
 
Im a former admin/dev there...was just recently telling someone about this and saw your post when I googled it. Sorry in advance if you have to deal with that code we were mostly kids 🤣
 
Oh I beg your FINEST pardon- TeriPets was absolutely my jam back in the day. I was friends with a lot of the staff, genuinely looked up to them as artists... God, what I wouldn't give to get to talk to them again, see where they are now you know?

Same with Polaria, though I recall that one not getting all the way off the ground...

I would like to mention.. Ownership of the domain name does not give you ownership of its properties.

We - The owners of Teripets - Let the domain name lapse because we were deciding if we wished to rebrand the name.


I just posted SOME of our works on my FA page, as you can see below.

The pets, creatures, lore, maps, and original source code have belonged to me for some years now. I lack coders.. But have permission from previous artists to continue with their work.. and if I can get the funds, can hire some of them back.

Right now, its about the coding, and the head coder/co-owners vision of how we are reworking the battle system.

What was/kinda still is in the works.
  • Revamp of battle systems so its not so... I hit one button over and over again until the battle is over.
  • Leveling system
  • Quest system
  • New shop system
  • Turn in request
  • Map exploration
  • Reworking of the Underground (cause before.. it really didnt have much going for it other than a chat room)

Im also gonna attach the most recent revamps on the pets.

I feel like I check this page once a week (if not honestly more). I used to be addicted to Teripets and even drew humanized versions of my pets during AP art in high school. I'm sooo ready for this revamp. Let me know if there's anything the old community can do to help. :3
 
Yes hi, hello! Chaos here, former member/staffer of Teripets.

I would absolutely LOVE to see Teripets come back and I'd likely honestly work on stuff for free in my spare time to see it happen. I can't code worth a crap but, I can be a nice wall to bounce ideas and I can still write. 😀

Those pet revamps, Amo! Fffs... That Huggle... That Zulf... omg..... I love them all. I legit cried seeing those images.


I miss those days, simple, quiet, full of smiles and friendships. To all my Teripets pals I miss you guys. <3<3



Hopefully one day we can see Teripets alive and well again... Even if it goes the way of say idk, Ponyisland where you have a 6 or 12 month sub to access the majority of the site. IDK. Just kinda tossing out brainrot rabbles. I miss you guys and love you all bunches. <3<3


PS! Zyaxe, Stellairria, Hibon, Pistol, Hyakuhei, Xaiya, Yagami, Sycon, NightEmber, and all the others of my ever-changing character gang from Teripets say hello! 😀

The revamped pets look great. Here's to hoping that you guys will be able to revive Teripets, you have our 100% support and backing. If we can assist in anyway, please let us know.
 
hi all! some things came up, got busy, life happens ya know - just wanted to say, still here and intend to start this project properly 🙂

@Amocin i've never even considered ownership of the domain as ownership of anything other than the domain - all my art is custom, all my code is from scratch (i wouldn't touch the original code with a mile-long stick, even if i had access to it), i bought a domain i've wanted for a while and want to have fun rebuilding something akin to the TeriPets i played when i was younger - that's all <3
 
Played Teripets too and loved it ! Count me in if the project is brought back to life =)
