Palword will be coming soon to the mobile market as Krafton Ca. ltd has a secured licensing deal with Pocketdeal.
Here’s the news post from: Krafton
Krafton Co., Ltd., led by CEO Kim Chang-han, has signed a licensing agreement with Japanese game developer Pocketpair, Inc., granting them the rights to the Intellectual Property (IP) of ‘Palworld.’ Through this collaboration, Krafton aims to bring ‘Palworld’ to mobile platforms, adapting its core gameplay elements to fit the mobile environment. The project will be overseen by the development team from PUBG Studios, a creative studio under Krafton.
‘Palworld’ is an open-world survival crafting game with a focus on raising and battling creatures. It was initially released in early access on January 19 for Steam and Xbox platforms. The game later launched globally on PlayStation 5 (PS5) on September 25 through Sony Interactive Entertainment. Players can collect over 100 unique creatures called ‘Pals,’ which they can use for battles, building, farming, or even running factories. Within a month of its release, ‘Palworld’ achieved significant success, selling 15 million copies on Steam and gaining 10 million players on Xbox. It also recorded the third-highest concurrent player count in Steam’s history, with around 2.1 million users.
What are your thoughts on this? Are you looking forward to playing Palword on your mobile devices?
