Khimeros’ Masquerade activities are now active on its game. Do you think you have what it takes to attempt to scare some players?
Are you feeling a little... PARANOID?
Note: The prizes for paranoia are the same as 2018 as this is basically a trial run to see if we can run the game again without having it bog down the site.
Eeeeeek what is that???? It looks like some evil entity has turned some of our NPCs into NEWTS!!!
**The following pages are EXEMPT from the Paranoia game: Welcome page, News page, Custom Demos, AND Forums!**
**Please note that you are not permitted to ask or hint for other users to attempt to scare you!
This includes stating that you have not been scared yet, etc.**
Here are the rules for Paranoia:
- Once every 30 minutes, you may pick a fellow Paranoia player to attempt to scare.
- Once you've done this, a small newt will show up on the next page they load.
- If they notice and click the newt within 60 seconds of loading the page, they've caught you and will gain a point! If they don't notice the newt, you will gain a point instead.
- You may only scare the same person once every 24 hours.
- You are also able to be scared, so keep an eye (of newt?) out on every page to make sure you don't get caught off guard!
- A person may only be scared once every 30 minutes.
- You may opt in and out of the game by visiting the "paranoia" link in the Special navigation menu, but must wait 24 hours after your last scare attempt before opting out of the game.
*You can receive activity tokens or other prizes while playing paranoia, and also have a chance to receive one of these six creepy newts!

**Please note that you may not always be notified on that you were scared on the very next page after you were scared. It sometimes takes a bit to get the notification. So if you are confused because you are certain you were not scared on the previous page, that is why!**

SCARE TACTICS
It's that time you've been waiting for... time for SCARE TACTICS!
Note: we have made a change to the bonus chrysalis drop rate, Arabasti can now drop up to TWO bonus chrysalids per day, and both Basti and Kai & Tai have a 1/1000 chance of dropping a krokodile chrysalis!
You can try to scare either Kai & Tai OR Arabasti once per hour. Find the links in the Special menu. Choose your scary scenario from the dropdown menus, and try them out on your NPC(s) of choice!
When scaring Kai or Tai you can receive a random spooky item!
When scaring Arabasti you can receive an item from his hoard of masquerade treats, OR, for two very lucky users per day, a spooky chrysalis! But watch out, because Basti can also fling smelly mud or trash at you instead!
For both activities, you can now click the link to view exactly which prizes are available!

TRICK OR TREAT!
Join in the Masquerade fun with our annual Trick or Treat chat event! While you are chatting, you may see an event link pop up that says "Is it a TRICK or a TREAT?" Be the first to click the link to win one of the following cool prizes.... or fall prey to a trick from one of our wily NPCs! Luckily, these chat "curses" will only follow you for a short time 😉 You can be cursed as many times as you click a link, but you can only receive a prize once every 12 hours! You must have actively participated in the chat in the past 5 minutes to qualify.
