The X app plans on removing the dms feature and replacing with XChat

Twitter(X) will be making yet another bold move under the ownership of Elon Musk, they will be removing the dm feature relatively soon and replacing with a new Xchat feature.

This new messaging system with contain the following:
DMs will be replaced by the new XChat, which is X’s new messaging service.
It will go go beyond texts
• Share files, including PDFs
• End-to-end encrypted DMs
• Advanced chat management
• Tons of customization options
• Control read receipts

The new xChat messaging system will be similar to Whatsapp and other messaging services.




What do you think about their upcoming new dm service? Do you prefer the old system or are you looking forward to the release of xChat?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed until the new chat system is launched and I use it. It's only then I would know for sure if it's better than the old one. But the aforementioned features upgrade looks good.

I'm excited about it. I can't wait to use the new chat system whenever it's rolled out. I use X often now, I'll know if it's worth it as soon as possible.

The biggest distraction Elon Musk have now is his role in running DOGE which I think is going end soon. Let's see what he does right after.

It's his company Telsa I've seen to be significantly affected by the whole thing Elon Musk currently involved in now.
