Would you get a robot?

There’s a lot of robots that are currently in development and may possibly start being available one day.

Some companies have been showing them off in various areas across the country, however, they do remember me of the movie iRobot.

So, would you get a robot? I’m not entirely sure if I would. I don’t think it would be a good idea. I watched way too many movies. I wouldn’t trust them.

I don't think so but robots are gaining traction recently and occupying spaces in companies and industries. I am particularly interested in what robots can do in the healthcare system.

I have a EMO robot, Cozmo robot and I recently purchased an Eilik robot which should arrive in the next 2-3 days .

I wouldn't want anything killing me in my sleep because it malfunctioned and had a mind of its own. No, God please!!

I can only get a robot if it becomes compulsory. But if I need a robot for something, I will go for the one that will help out in house chores like cleaning the house and washing of clothes, let's start from there first.

I wonder who's going to make getting a robot a law and compulsory for everyone to have? Even Trump won't be crazy to make such a law.

That's why I said unless it's made compulsory and that's when I will buy it. It simply means that I can't buy them even if I have the whole money with me.

It can never be our end because as there are people that are misusing technology, some people are using it to their own advantages with caution.

EMO is .... Like a high end robot and it can actually hold a conversation with people!

Cozmo is cute but... it has only set functionalities .. However it's still cool. I love watching them interact and doing cute things

China took a lead in technology both in robotics and even AI systems. Robot can enhance our productivity and make life a lot simpler, but safety would be the primary concern.

It's the safety concerns that's my biggest worry when it comes to using bots. I wouldn't mind using AI to do some things but having a physical robot assisting me is a thing of worry.

I would wait until they are truly useful and have stable AI support. And also, I am leaning more towards sex robot with AI technology and super awesome developed body. Why pay for prostitute when I can buy robot who won't mind doing all the kinky stuff I want and as much as I want. One time investition, I think xD

Some people are praying to have a robot to themselves to take care of their needs. I can't mind using AI too but I will find it too funny to have robot assisting me for my needs.

I would be very wary of getting a robot so early on in its development. I feel that, as robots stand, they are quite young in terms of development, and there are more chances of seeing malfunctions and possible serious issues.

Robots make life easier for people but my major concern is designing them with a safety protocol. But I strongly believe that the advancement in robotics will definitely help alleviate these concerns, maybe in the future.

I don't have any problems with the robots malfunctioning at one point but what I need 100% assurances over is on it being hack proof because that's where the serious danger is.
