What are some of your favorite methods of making points on a pet site? Do you like to play games, do trades/auctions, play quests, or would you rather restock & sell items?

What type of contests do you like? What pet sites have you made a lot of points from with breeding?

I quite enjoy themed pet contests, pet beauty contests, and writing contests. It’s been a while since I did any serious breeding, the last was probably on Flight Rising. I didn’t make a *lot* of points but I made some, and it was really fun! Honestly I mainly set about trying to make a profit just to have a specific goal in mind when breeding.

What pet sites have you profited the most from pet contests and pet beauty contests? Do you think more pet games should offer these type of features or not really? What do you think sets flight rising’s breeding system apart from others?

That would be Flight Rising again, for both. They have a really active forum community that hosts a lot of contests, which is something I haven't seen in most other games. Personally I think this is something that should be offered by any site, but I understand that's not always realistic. As for what sets Flight Rising's breeding system apart, honestly not much. The main difference is the really active community for showing off/appreciating bred pets.

I think I probably prefer questing and selling items received from quests. I really hate the flash (or what are they now HTML5) games. I'm ok with restocking for places that allow it and have a good policy for dealing with cheaters so it's fair.

One of the simplest ways to make points on my site is via user generated content. A player creates a pet, an item, a blog, artwork, music, or a video they will receive points in their pouch if their content gets approved.

@Boltgreywing What if a user doesn’t know how to draw? What other point making methods will be available to them?

@Oakley Questing and reselling items are both my both my favorite methods of earning more points as well.

It seems like we both enjoy playing the same way because for me, it's questing and selling items that I fancy most when I'm looking at making more points.
