Surely some of you must have played at least one game in this series? 😀 I used to love playing them for hours on end, in fact, there is still a pretty big community of people who play the games today! Simple premise, adopt a cat or dog, look after it and watch it grow and even have a family!

I last played it, probably around 2004. Twenty years ago and it still gives me great memories!

I remember playing these games way back. Catz was a popular one for me that I played a lot. I always remember my Grandma having Catz on her PC and when we used to visit on a Saturday, she allowed me and my brothers on her PC to take care of her cat, was always a fun time.

Honestly, if you're using a PC, it's great. They can just stay open on a window on your PC and you can do other things whilst they do their thing.

This game brings back so much memories. It have been a very long time when I played it and it was a load of fun back then.

I'll surely make out time to get into playing the game once again. As long as it's a still relaxing the way it used to be, I'll enjoy it.

One of the amazing things i forgot to mention is that you can breed different species and there is actually thousands of different colour variants that you can end up with for your pets. Pretty crazy.

I recently got back into playing the game again and I'm enjoying it a little more than I expected it.

I have tried it on and off through the years but it isn’t the same viewing in non-kid (I was a 15 yr old when I played it though) eyes. The animations just loop over and over and every cat/dog has the same personality. Only the alley cats have some personality, it’s angry but every alley cat is angry. I used to like some of the mini games to get items for your room.

Yes, I can understand this happens with some games. It's more like we out grow them from a viewer's and players perspective. I've experienced it with some pet games too.

For many players the Petz series has nostalgic value, while there might be certain aspects which may seem very old-fashioned. However, certain things still bear the charm and tend to be appealing as well.

Apart from this game, almost all the games I have played is much fun and interesting when playing them on PC. Playing on mobile isn't bad too.

One thing that I truly find special about Dogz and Catz game is the fact that the pets don't come across just like tools. They have the tendency to develop a distinct personality. And they always react realistically to their environment and conditions.
