Exploring for virtual pets

How do you feel about exploring for new virtual pets and capturing them? Do you think this feature is actually better than the traditional method of obtaining virtual pets?

I am set in my ways and I am slow to accept new concepts.

I like capturing because it feels like you've built a stronger bond than just creating. I plan to have the traditional method for your starter (and for genning in new pets) but otherwise you gotta catch em (apart from a few NPC shops). But then again I tend to be into monster battlers.

I totally agree! I think this idea would be pretty good, obtaining a virtual pet via random events and/or battling NPC’s to capture a new pet. What do you think?
