My first day at work has always been wonderful though I will always be anxious and fearful so that my employers won't see anything that will make them start that first to shout or scold me for not doing well.

I am always sure to observe and know what and not to do until I master the work very well.

I was always nervous, but confident in my abilities to do the task right the second time I saw how they wanted it done, and within a week I'm in the groove of things doing everything as expected. The nervousness always wore off pretty quickly, like within the first few hours. It's more of getting acquainted with the people than the work itself, as if you are qualified for the job, you shouldn't be nervous of doing things wrong, just perhaps not doing things as their standard.

As long as I am confident in myself and on the job that I am taking, I don't see any reason to be scared. I will just take every move as they come and bother less about how my employer feels. Judge me by my first moves and nothing else.

It's never easy on your first day at work. I've never seen who had it easy. You will nervous and full of anxiety. It would be worse if the working environment isn't friendly.

I think nervousness and clueless would be most of the traits I possess on my first day at work. However, if I'm hopping from one retail job to the next like I've been doing for years, those traits die down. I may still feel nervous about being around new people, though.

Criticism is a norm over here and assuming you are working where there are much employees, they will be looking for ways to make you feel that you don't know what you are doing on the first day.

Someone like me will know what to do but the faces I'm seeing will bring some fear but I have overcome them.
