There's always burnout with playing any kind of video games including virtual pet sites games or the mobile version of the games. I have been playing 19 years on Neopets and 15 years on Marapets. I've been burnt out a few times and taken months off playing.

Do you take break often from playing your favorite virtual pet sites games?

I am currently on a 2.5 month break from playing any video games. I was playing video games 70+ hours a week, which is super unhealthy.

At the moment, I would say due to work I am taking a much longer break than I normally would due to my work commitments and as much as I do miss playing, I like to stay on top of my work schedule as well so I push myself to do that.

However, many years it's been since I last picked one up, should pick up some game again just to say I can take break from it properly?

Unfortunately, work will always come first because that's what pays the bills. Yes, playing video games is fun but fun won't pay your bills.

I 100% agree with this, work should come before anything else in life except for family.

Bills and your responsibility doesn't give you a second chance. When they are due, it's a must they are paid almost immediately. It's why they can never be compromised with.

I’ve taken breaks from playing a few times. I’ve been playing pet sites for about 20 years now. The longest break I’ve ever taken from playing was about 8 months or so.

OH! I 100% agree, every time I get paid the first thing that I do is pay all the bills and then we buy food, gas, etc with what is left over.

It is the reason why whenever there is anything that is going to interfere with my work, I will try as much as possible to handle that immediately so that I don't have challenges with my source of income.

I have stayed about four months now away from all games and still counting. Not because I don't want to play, I was neglecting my responsibility and withdrawing from many things. It dawned on me that I'm being addicted.

The best reason while I will stay away more is due to work and I am really trying all best to save more.

When life happens, you will have to adjust with so many things. It's completely understandable what's going on with you and not playing for now. Once things settles down, you will definitely start playing again.

19 years on Neopets and 15 years on Marapets is so impressive! I've also taken breaks from playing virtual pet sites several times, usually when I feel overwhelmed.

I am hoping that things will get normal but every day, we are seeing another phase of hardship. Let's be hoping and asking for the betterment of the future.

I can relate to that feeling. I've taken breaks from Marapets and Neopets a few times, it's usually when I'm very busy with work or other hobbies.

As long as you keep working hard, I believe that things will definitely normalize over a period of time. I know how difficult things are right now which makes things hard for most people.

Things are really hard and there's nothing the poor masses can do except to continue struggling until luck smile on them.

Unfortunately, the government of my country doesn't care so much when it comes to making things easy for the masses.

Usually when I need to focus on real life goals is when I take a break from gaming. It's important to have a good balance, and I don't want to spend all day on video games when I have things that need to be done.

Having a balance in life with everything that you're doing is very important. It's going to make your life look so organised.
