Paying for upgrades in pet sites games cost money. It's not a most a player would have to pay to upgrade their accounts/pets before they can enjoy the game. But paying for upgrades gives you access to more features.

How much have you paid so far for account upgrades in pet site games?

I don't even want to think about how much money I have spent on video games. I added up all the money that I spent on computers over the years, and it was over $15,000. And that's not including video game consoles and games.

It’s nice when some games allow trading for other currencies, especially like on Marapets. You can trade Marapoints with other users for account upgrade credits.
It's a very cool feature from Marapets. This is a feture that's going to make it very encouraging for someone to keep playing more.

It is understandable for one to want to handle some real-life issues instead of spending on virtual pets, but it is also fun to see your pets doing well.
Playing video games can always come later. It never runs away. Life have priority which is why you pay more attention to it first.

I agree. It has created a valuable economy on Marapets as well. The going rate for AU trades and points is generally 2.4 marapoints for 1au. This enables users to get key features and account upgrades set that aren’t able to afford it through other means.
