Memories can be either good or bad, painful or beautiful. The bad ones are very tough to take whenever they are remembered if something triggered the flashback.

Do you have one memory you would like to forget?

Memories are complex things and they're quite emotional too. Naturally we all want to hold on to our happy memories and let go of the painful ones. That's quite natural but I found that suppressing memories may provide a temporary relief but confronting them can be a very good way to heal.

Healing from those painful memories is a good thing because it will take away the pain whenever you remember it but I don't think the human mind is conditioned to forget such painful experience.

There are many painful experiences I’d like to forget, but unfortunately, they’re part of my life now, and I’ll have to live with them.

Losing so many family members over the years was really heartbreaking, and it tore me apart. I’d rather not bring those memories back up.

But I do focus on the good times, and those are the ones that bring me the most joy.

My conference brother. I'm sorry for your loss.

Death is a debt everyone pays whenever theirs is due.

I have a few.. well more than a few... I have alot.. but the one that came to my mind first was watching the guy die in front of my work after a car accident..

sends you all the hugs Focusing on the good times is the best thing you can do.. Losing someone or a pet is never easy nor does it get any easier.. you just learn to remember the good times faster and cope better.
