Neopets has introduced a new pet species, the Varwolf has been spotted in the rainbow pool.

The Varwolf will be the first new species that Neopets has released in over 10 years.

I will be expecting it soon. Neopets is making moves, which shows that they are still number 1 when it comes to virtual pet games.

A former Neopets artist who designed the original Varwolf in 2005 has released a new version just for fun.



He shared the following post:


“I designed the original Varwolf back in 2005, and with all the rumors going around, I thought it’d be fun to see what it would look like if I redrew it today.





I tried to stick to the spirit of the original—the spirit of the original being, ‘I spend all my free time on the Lion King Fan-Art Archive circa 2004, and also, my fursona is a wolf.’”

The varwolf has officially been released on Neopets.

Looking to get a Varwolf? Right now, the only way to obtain one is through the Premium Species Change Perk.


This perk is available once per year, and you can access it by subscribing to Premium for just one month if you don’t want to wait for the upcoming event.


You can also gift your Premium perk to another player, but only for a newly created pet, a pound pet, or your own pet—it can’t be used on a pet they already own.

I love how the Varwolf looks. It's such an adorable pet to adopt but I don't understand why it's not available to everyone except the pro users. Do you think we can have access to it without being a premium subscriber?
