I Got Wasted by Dax
I had my time drinking in my 20s as a way to cope. Unfortunately, that was the accepted method while in the military, especially in the Marines because "we were founded in a bar". Now, they preach to not drink and seek help; though, I'm sure the drinking culture is still strong because my era is now the "leaders". It might take another generation or two for that culture to go away.
While I didn't have a problem with drinking in my 30s, it just didn't make me feel good anymore. I've been sober since December 1, 2021. But, I'll definitely spark up a blunt if I ever go back to my hometown, and still count that as "sobriety".
