Which virtual pets mirror real animal needs best?

Which among the available virtual pets in your opinion has the requirements and natural behavior of real animals? I would like to hear your opinion on this as it will be the best virtual pet game for immersive experience.

To an extent, what Neopets and My Singing Monsters have done well is in terms of the needs of virtual pets which almost mirror those of existing ones. My Singing Monster’s feeding and breeding is very similar to that of the real pets.

I think Digimon for consoles is pretty good for that, because your Digimon poop, and over time they also die with age. If you don't take care of your Digimon properly they can also die sooner.

I’d say a lot of pet simulator games tend to mirror real life animals the most. Especially, horse games where some of them might pass away if you don’t care for them correctly.

Some pet sites have features in place as well where your pets will tell you that they’re starving or hungry, but generally, there isn’t any consequences involved if you’re not actually taking care of them.

Unless you’re taking care of a digital pet like Tamagotchi or a Digimon, then they’ll pass away on you. These games have natural behaviors like real life animals.

When it comes to realism in virtual pets, I think we also need to pick Neopets and Digimon because they did a good job in simulating virtual pets that look like the real ones.
