World of Neopets

The World of Neopets is social life-simulation game currently in development by the Neopets team, where you can experience your ideal Neopian life from the perspective of a Neopet!


Rumor has it that the game will have the following features:
You’ll be able Decorate your Neohome, explore iconic Neopian lands in 3D, uncover hidden treasures and knowledge, or play mini-games while partying with your Neofriends—all while interacting and completing quests with a host of your favorite Neopian characters!


The world of Neopets will be a mobile app game according to this Wiki World of Neopets.

Release​

In the wake of Neopets being under new management in July 2024, TNT have stated:

Most recently, the decision was made to transition to a mobile app and rebuild from the ground up as World of Neopets, a social life-simulation game in which you live your ideal Neopian life from the perspective of a Neopet! Decorate your Neohome, explore iconic Neopian lands in 3D, discover secret treasures and knowledge, or play mini-games while you party with your Neofriends — all while you interact and quest with a collection of your favourite Neopian characters!

Additionally, the game will be created with the funding leftover from Neopets Metaverse, which was shut down around the same time this announcement occurred.

Trivia​

• The concept of World of Neopets might be based on the original idea for the site being a virtual world where the player was the Neopet (not the owner) traversing Neopia.

The world of Neopets could possibly include some features from their previous metaverse project as well.

I would probably try it, since I played Neopets a lot when I was younger. It looks like steps in the right direction, I like the virtual world concept.
